“Adelaide now has recorded four days in a row of 40c plus, just peaked at 40.4. Breaking record set of 3 days in 1898 and 2007.”
“Some new December records set today Clare 41.7, Pt Pirie 44.8, Snowtown 44.9!”
“Port Augusta can be added to the list has hit 46.4 previous record 46.1!”
“Scratch that, Pt Pirie now 45.4, Snowtown 45.2 more than 1c above previous records!”
“Pt Pirie at 45.6, previous record 44.0!
Whyalla hit 45.5, previous record 44.9!”
“Port Augusta new record 47.2, previous 46.1!”
“Edinburgh has equaled its December record with 43.5c!”
“Whyalla has new record of 45.8, previous 44.9!”
“The all-time record for most number of December consecutive days with 40C or above was broken though.
“The most impressive record I’ve seen so far is Snowtown’s, where 45.2 is a December record for old and new sites combined (data back to 1908). The current Port Augusta site is a fair bit hotter than its predecessors but 47.2 is still an impressive number.
